evolution of the moment

http://www.stevenkatzmanphotography.com/evolution_moment/

The link is to an account of a photographer's experience at a charismatic church in Florida. It's an interesting story. It makes me wonder about charismatic churches. Normally when I hear the word "charismatic" I can't help but think about TBN and Benny Hinn. But this guy's experience makes me wonder if I'm being fair in my prejudice against charismatics.

I feel uncomfortable with a belief system that seems to hold outward, highly emotional responses as being a necessary sign of salvation. Of course, many people with my theological bend (probably best described as reformed) could be accused of not having much evidence of salvation in our lives at all.

Don't forget to check out the pictures after the narrative.

I don't know why, but looking at the pictures, I felt the same way I would have had I been looking at a crime scene.

Beware of purveyors of strange fire and signs and wonders.
