an apology to non-Christians

Non-Christians,
I think that I would be correct in saying that over the last several months you've found many of the Christians you know to become increasingly rude, belligerent, prideful, and even hateful.

You've probably seen us:
-speak of our opinion as if it were divine truth
-treat those who disagree with us as if they weren't disserving of love
-favor those who agree with us

All of these things are expressly against what Christ taught. I know that we are generally poor examples of the master we claim to follow, but I think we have been particularly poor examples over the last few months. I want to recognize where we are wrong and apologize for being so. I am truly sorry for the way we've acted. I pray that we become more Christ-like as time goes on.

Graebner!
Good to see you've joined in the discussion.

I think you may need to further explain your thoughts to me (I'm feeling dense today). I'm having trouble seeing the main thrust of your post.
